I deliberately disguised some of the names, because not all of the story plots in this novel really exist, nor are they entirely fictitious. In several incidents I was involved in it, and in several other incidents I got it through stories from friends so I dont know exactly, besides that some of the memories have started to fade in my memory, I also cant always be present in all the stories. To assemble the pieces of the puzzle, I added fictitious stories so that the story could flow like a novel.Thus, this novel can be said to be a "documentary" based on the true story, or as I call it "not just fiction". A novel with the theme of romance that occurs in and around Islamic boarding schools. So its fitting that I would give this novel the title Roman Kang Picisan: Actually, She Looks More Like an Angel.I deliberately opened up about some life in (one of) the pesantren where I grew up, not because I hate it, or Im proud, but more because thats how it is. Only of course, as good readers, are they able to take what is good and throw away what is bad.
